The All Assam Students’ Union on Tuesday staged a protest at Judges Field, Guwahati against the recent price hike.
In the protest, AASU targeted Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal, Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Supply Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury.
The protest mainly targeted the recent price hike and shouted slogans like ‘BJP go back’, ‘stop price hike’, ‘BJP murdabad’, and ‘Phani Bhusan murdabad’. The slogans were accompanied by clapping and beating thalis. Many members of AASU were wearing masks of the respective ministers during the protest.
One of the AASU representatives also stated that if the state government does take proper action on the price hike, AASU will be forced to take further strict and dangerous action.
