In view of the horrors of drugs, the Nagaon police have been conducting anti-drug operations in different parts of the district.
On Monday, Nagaon police have able to carry out a crackdown on drugs on RRB Road in South Haiborgaon, Nagaon district. During the operation, the police seized a large quantity of brown sugar.
The arrested persons were identified as Biki Das (20), Some Das (38) of RRB Road, Munindra Das (38) of Dakowal village, 21-year-old Abhishek Balmiki, Arjun Balmiki (20), Amir Uddin (25), Biswajit Majumdar (28), Hemant Tisu (24).
Police seized AS-02 AB-2697, AS-02 AS-9255, and two unnumbered motorbikes from the Drugs’ base. The operation was carried out by the Nagaon police in collaboration with the Haiborgaon police on a tip-off.
According to police sources, the drug lord was operating at the residence of a woman named Minu Das in South Haiborgaon for which the environment of the region was ruined.
