The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has sent a notice to Bhupen Borah, president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), requesting that he show a copy of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) and approved plan for his built structure at Niribili Path, Ghoramara Chariali, Guwahati.
The warning was issued in response to a complaint against the “unauthorized” construction of one Bhaskarjyoti Kumar’s building made by Hiren Bhatta and Bhetapara Ghoramara.
Due to this, GMC officials have instructed the state Congress leader to respond within three days.
It needs mention here that Bhupen Borah was recently in the headlines for his ‘will demolish BJP office’ remark during a press conference held on October 11.
The APCC Chief was targeting the BJP over the construction of their new regional head office in Guwahati.
