The number of COVID-19 cases has increased rapidly in the state of Assam. A total of 294 people tested positive for the infection on Friday. Out of 294 patients, 92 are from the Kamrup city district alone.
The COVID-19 test of 2,625 people was conducted in the last 24 hours. The rate of the victim during the day is 11.2 per cent.
The current number of active cases of COVID-19 in the state stands at 1,370. Today 42 of the infected were from the Kamrup district, while 25 were from Darang and 18 from Dibrugarh. On the other hand, two people have died in the last 24 hours due to the infection.
