By the end of March 2021, Electric train service will be launched in Assam soon. The electric trains will run from New Bongaigaon to Rangia, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) informed.
The electric train service will extend from Guwahati to Lumding and Dibrugarh. Charging stations will be placed at Bongaigaon, Sorbhog, Nalbari, and Kamakhya.
