The Batadrava constituency is set to undergo a huge facelift. The birthplace of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev will be converted into a religious tourism destination.
Sharing the information, Batadrava constituency MLA and Sankardev Kalakhetra Vice-Chairperson, Angoorlata Deka said that Batadrava will become more attractive and beautiful for tourists. A budget of Rs. 188 crores have been allocated for the project.
She further said that there would be a skill development center in the field of religious tourism, an art center of Srimanta Sankardev, a park, and various other facilities for pilgrims.
