Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma while addressing a public meeting at Margherita in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah promised that government jobs would be given to 1 lakh youths of the state within the first year of the next BJP-led government. The minister also revealed that the BJP aims to provide 10 lakh jobs to the youths in the next five years.

“We will provide livelihood to 10 lakh young boys and girls after forming a new government in Assam. In the first year itself, we will give government jobs to 1 lakh youths,” Dr. Sarma said in the meeting.
