Assam Boy creates bike from waste materials; can travel both on Land and Water

Diganta Das, a young man from Jogighopa in the Bongaigaon district, has created an innovative Amphibious bike that can travel by water as well as land.

Diganta Das, a science graduate from Goalpara College, previously surprised everyone by converting a simple cycle into an electronic bicycle, which he recently redesigned into an amphibious bike. Diganta Das, Bishtu Das’s son, claims that this vehicle is India’s first amphibious bike.

Das built this vehicle out of household waste materials such as wood, thermocol, tyres, and unused electronic components.

Das, a resident of the most backward Kochudola area, which is flooded every year, considered developing one such vehicle to aid in travel through the flooded, dilapidated roads.

To address this situation, Das devised the idea of building amphibious bikes and assisting the people of the region during the monsoon season.

Das is already well-known for his numerous gadgets and vehicles, which he invented and built with his knowledge and available waste materials. Previously, Das created an electric car, electric speed boat, and electric bike, which became the focus of attention. Das intends to build a new amphibious vehicle this time.
