Assam: Congress Appoints Observers for Assembly Elections

Congress party on Wednesday has appointed the Chief Minister of Chattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel, party General Secretary Mukul Wasnik, and Senior Leader Shakeel Ahmad Khan as the senior observers for the Assam Assembly polls.

The three leaders have been appointed with immediate effect as senior observers for monitoring the election campaign management and maintaining coordination in the states where Assembly elections will be held in 2021. All the senior observers will be in close coordination with the All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretaries and in-charges of the respective states.

For the Kerela Assembly polls, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Goa Luizinho Faleiro, and former Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka G Parameswara have been appointed as the senior observers.
Senior party leaders and former Union Minister M Veerappa Moily and M M Pallam Raju have been appointed as senior observers for the 2021 Assembly elections. For the West Bengal Assembly elections, senior party leader BK Hariprasad and Punjab Minister Vijay Inder Singla have been appointed as senior observers.

The Assembly elections in the states of Assam, West Bengal, Kerala are speculated to be held by the end of April 2021.
