Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) General Secretary Biswajit Ray Monday resigned from his post.
The leader on Sunday was served a show-cause notice for sharing the stage with Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP state president Ranjeet Kumar Dass at an election campaign meeting in Kokrajhar on November 13.
The former All Koch Rajbongshi Students’ Union (AKRSU) president was asked to reply to the show-cause notice by November 18, 2020. The notice issued by APCC General Secretary Ranjan Bora stated, “Why disciplinary action shall not be taken against you for violating party discipline?”
