A court in Assam’s Biswanath on Monday announced death sentence to a convict for the rape and murder of a minor girl in the district in 2018.
The Additional District Session and Judge Court in Biswanath ordered the death sentence.
The convict Mangal Paik had raped and killed a 5-year-old girl at the Dikorai area in the Biswanath district in 2018.
The locals welcomed the judgment of the court.
