The Cotton University in Guwahati is set to resume its offline classes from January 4 after being closed for almost 10 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
An official notification issued by the Cotton University registrar on Wednesday stated that offline classes will restart from January for undergraduate (UG) 3rd and 5th, postgraduate (PG) 3rd semesters as well as higher secondary (HS) 2nd year. There will also be offline remedial classes for UG 1st semester students having a change of major subjects or late admission from January 4 to 12.
However, regular offline classes of HS 1st year, UG and PG 1st semesters will resume from January 18.
“Hostels will reopen phase-wise from 04th January 2021. Gov’t. of Assam SOP will be strictly followed in all aspects of conducting the classes and opening of the hostels,” the order stated.
