Assam: Ex-Congress MLAs Ajanta Neog and Rajdeep Gowala Joins BJP

Recently expelled congress MLAs Ajanta Neog and Rajdeep Gowala joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday at its Hengrabari head office in Guwahati.

In addition, former Bodoland People’s Front (BPF)  MLA Bolendra Mushahary also jumped ships to the ruling party.

Assam BJP President Ranjit Dass and Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma were present in the join in ceremony.

Ajanta Neog has been appointed as a state executive of the BJP.

Commenting on joining the BJP, Neog said, “I thanked those who supported me mentally to join BJP. I always served the people selflessly and today also joined the party without any expectation. I am feeling like a new daughter-in-law at this party. The party has a future.”

Meanwhile, Lakhipur MLA Rajdeep Gowala said that he has been attracted by the BJP’s work and that is why he joined the party.

On the other hand, Bolendra Mushahary while joining the party said he would work as an active member and has not joined the party in hopes of becoming an MLA.
