Assam: Government Committed to implement Bodo Accord, says CM Sarma

According to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday, the Assam government is fully committed to implementing the Bodo Accord.

The Assam Chief Minister was speaking on Sunday at Jougalu in Assam’s Kokrajhar and said, “There was a time when sounds of gunfire and explosions kept the people of this land awake at night. Now peace has presided in the region.”

Following that, CM Sarma announced the construction of a sports complex in Kokrajhar. He stated, “We will construct a sporting complex similar to Sarusajai in Guwahati, here. For this, we will release Rs 150 crore in funds.”

He also stated that the complex would be built within the next six months.

CM Sarma also stated that  “The process of allotting Land Pattas will begin from November 21 in Bodoland Territorial Region.”

CM Sarma went on to say, “BJP-UPPL will win together in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.”

“Steps will be taken to withdraw cases against the NDFB leader. In the coming years, we will renew the implementation of Orunodoi Scheme in Bodoland,” the Assam Chief Minister added.
