Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the state government is not mulling to impose a lockdown as the COVID-19 situation is still under control adding that the government will step up precautionary measures at the airports and railway stations.
“Situation is under control in Assam. We are getting 50-70 cases daily that too are in the airports and railway stations. There are not many cases in the state. So, there is no need to worry. If we continue the test properly in airports and railway stations the covid situation will stay under control,” said Dr. Sarma.
