Assam Govt. to distribute over 11,000 Appointments Letters on September 23

On September 23, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma would appoint 11,202 employees to various government ministries, fulfilling his vow to provide one lakh jobs to Assamese citizens.

The Assam government will offer recruitment letters to 11202 candidates across 21 government departments at a ceremony on September 23 at Khanapara Veterinary Field in Guwahati.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will hand out appointment letters to the 11202 candidates during a ceremonial event.

The Chief Minister stated on Twitter that these appointments will be in addition to the 27,737 candidates who have already been appointed.

Sarma stated, “We commit, and we deliver—a significant step in our effort to provide one lakh jobs in Assam. GoA will now give out employment letters to 11,202 candidates in 21 government departments on September 23, 2022, in a ceremonial occasion in Khanapara, Guwahati, following 27,737 successful recruitments”.

The Home and Political Department will receive 5,335 appointments, with the School Education Department receiving 3,811 and the Higher and Technical Education Department receiving 927.

It is to be noted that the Public Works Department (PWD) will hire 304 new employees, while the Health and Family Welfare Department will fill 299 posts, the Panchayat and Rural Department will fill 277, and the Irrigation Department will fill 137.

Eleven candidates will be appointed in the department of transformation and development, 33 in the department of environment and forests, 24 in the department of skills, employment, and entrepreneurship, and 13 in the department of sports and youth welfare.

Other departments that will be employed include handloom and textiles, collaboration, information, and public relations, as well as skill, employment, and entrepreneurship. The government of Assam recently appointed 27,737 people to various government positions.

The Assam administration, led by Himanta Biswa Sarma, has promised one lakh jobs.
