Assam govt. to shut down schools with zero pass percentage in HSLC

Guwahati, 9 June: According to Assam education department 17 schools will shut down across the state after those institutions have registered zero pass percentage on the HSLC Examination 2020, results of which were declared on June 6.
Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma the State Education Minister informed that all the teachers of these schools which are being shut down permanently will be transferred immediately.

The admission process to higher secondary level courses in educational institutions in the state will be conducted online in view of the unabated COVID-19 pandemic. Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma mentions that SEBA has declared the result of H.S.L.C on 6th June 2020 and this year HS admission will be conducted through online mode due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The education minister also informed, “This year, it has been planned to include students’ bank account number with IFSC code in the application form for admission in the degree level courses to make it much easier to enroll for the courses”.
