On November 1, 2020, an FIR was lodged at Dhaligaon Police Station (PS) regarding cheating and misappropriation of money by a miscreant gang. Considering the FIR, a case was registered at Dhaligaon PS.
The two prime accused Robin Ch. Baruah (27), Chaprakata PS, Bongaigaon, and Md. Nobir Ali (37), Pachim Bhadragaon, Bongaigaon were arrested.
In the last 3 days, the Chirang District Police successfully recovered nine stolen tractors from Goalpara, Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, and Chirang district of Assam in connection with the Dhaligaon Police Station Case no.- 298/2020 U/S 420/406/34 IPC.
Further investigation is on to apprehend other accomplices involved in the organized racket.
