Assam: Schools to reopen on Nov 2 under Strict COVID-19 Protocols

After a gap of more than 6 months, schools in Assam are set to reopen from November 2. However, only the students from classes VI to XII will only be attending the classes.

The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the state government on Friday stated that classes for students of VI, VIII, X and XII will be conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while the students of Class VII, IX and XI, classes will be attending classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The SOP also includes timetables for colleges, engineering colleges, polytechnic institutions and ITIs.

The state government has directed the school authorities to follow the social distancing and other precautionary measures in the light of COVID-19.
