The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday raided the residence of suspected Barpeta FRRO SP Kumar Sanjit Krishna and Karimganj ASP Prashanta Kumar Dutta residence in the SI scam.
Earlier, Sanjit Krishna was transferred from Karimganj to Barpeta FRRO as SP of after his name cropped up in the recruitment scam.
CID team simultaneously raided Sanjit Krishna’s residences at Kacharibasti in Guwahati and Karimganj. CID reportedly seized some documents from the residences.
According to an official, “The home department has given go-ahead to the CID for arresting them.”
