Akshay Telecommunication’s partner Rubul Hazarika involved in the Assam Police SI scam surrendered before Nalbari Police on Friday. Akshay Telecommunication is owned by Akshay Chand Baid, who is still absconding.
Earlier on Wednesday, Police conducted raids in the properties of Rubul Hazarika and Akshay Chand and sealed the office of Akshay Telecommunication.
Akshay Chand received the sub-contract for conducting the SI recruitment exam from a Kerala-baed company KELTRON.
It is reported that Hazarika is under interrogation at Nalbari and is interrogated by GP Singh, ADGP (Law & Order). He will be brought to Guwahati tonight.
Earlier today, one Saroj Sarma, another accused in the scam was nabbed by police from Guwahati airport.
