Guwahati: Kumar Sanjit Krishna, former Karimganj SP, involved in the Assam Police Sub-inspector recruitment scam following the question paper leakage has reached the Assam Police Headquarters here in Ulubari on Thursday.
According to reports, Sanjit Krishna, a top cop of Assam Police was missing since last night after he was allowed to return home without any security cover following two-day interrogation by the CID.
The CID on Wednesday had carried out raids in his Guwahati residence and have taken few things on their custody. Prior to this, the CID team had conducted raids in his former office and his official residence in Barak Valley’s Karimganj.
According to sources, a special team of the CID has reached the Assam Police Headquarters for further investigation and is likely to arrest Krishna, presently serving as SP, FRRO Barpeta.
