Guwahati city BJP office on Saturday celebrated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
Showering regards to the late politician, the party also organized a running event starting at 7 in the morning which started from Guwahati Club to Chandmari. The event started from the Assam Engineering Institute (AEI) playground, Chandmari, and more than 600 members took part in the event.
Member of Parliament, Queen Ojha started the ceremony by paying homage and lighting Diya in front of Sardar Patel’s portrait. MLA Atul Bora, Assam Financial Corporation Principal Vijay Gupta, City District Committee President Mrigen Sarania, State Secretary Benudhar Nath, and many other prominent people paid their homage to the Iron man of India.
MP Queen Ojha during the event stated that the Iron Man of India had contributed more than enough in the making of ‘Unified Bharat’.
