In yet another crackdown on Indian Premiere League bookies, Bongaigaon Police on Sunday carried out search and raid operations against bookies.
The Police successfully recovered a total amount of Rs. 5, 30,000 from two bookies. One bookie has been arrested along with Rs. 2, 71,600 while the other managed to escape, however, the police managed to recover an amount of Rs. 2, 56,350.
The search for the escaped bookie is ongoing, informed the police.
