An amount of Rs 51.53 crores was released by center to Assam for floods and landslides that took place earlier this year.
The amount released from the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) is part of the total amount of Rs 3063.21 crore, which the center has granted to six states that got hit by floods and landslides.
The additional central assistance of Rs 3,063.21 crore to the six states was approved by a high-level committee, headed by union home minister Amit Shah.
