Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday laid the foundation stone of Koch Rajbongshi Community Museum in Bongaigaon town.
Sonowal was accompanied by Minister of State (Urban Development) Pijush Hazarika and Minister of Food & Civil Supplies Phani Bhusan Choudhury along with Bongaigaon Deputy Commissioner MS Lakshmi Priya.
With the aim to preserve rich culture and heritage of the Koch Rajbongshi community, CM Shri @sarbanandsonwal laid the foundation stone for establishment of a Museum in Bongaigaon.

During the inaugural speech, the minister expressed his hope that the museum would play a crucial role in preserving the rich culture and heritage of the Koch Rajbongshi community.

He also laid down various developmental projects in Bongaigaon town including the construction of a bus terminal at Barpara and a clock tower at Chilarai flyover.
