Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday laid the foundation stone of PEB (Pre Engineered Building) Police Barrack at Jengraimukh in Majuli.
A total of 100 PEB Police barracks will be constructed under the Mission for Overall Improvement for Responsive Image (MOITRI) scheme all across the state. This is as per the Assam government’s initiative to equip Assam Police with state-of-art facilities.
The CM ceremonially laid the foundation stone of 72 Police Barracks in Majuli. Taking to Twitter, Sarbananda Sonowal said, “We have always given special attention towards strengthening & modernising @assampolice.

The BJP leader was accompanied by Minister of State Naba Kumar Doley, Lok Sabha MP Pradan Baruah, and Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta.
