CM Sonowal: “Dibrugarh Will Now Relish Uninterrupted Power Supply”

With the aim to provide uninterrupted electricity and easing the lifestyle of people, the first-ever state-of-the-art Gas Insulated Substation of Assam has been set-up at Dibrugarh.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday evening officially inaugurated the 2X10 MVA, 33/11 KV Gas Insulated Substation. The project is under the Electricity Development Scheme.
Speaking to media after the inauguration, the CM stated, “Development is impossible without an interrupted supply of electricity. For the development of any sector, electricity is a much-needed commodity.
The Substation at Dibrugarh has been set up for the betterment of the people living in Dibrugarh. This project will provide an uninterrupted electricity supply to the whole Dibrugarh town.”

Along with the state CM, manager of the Assam Power Distribution Company, Dibrugarh MLA Prashanta Phukan, Lohuwal constituency MLA Ritupon Baruah and the Director of Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL), Rakesh Agarwal was also present during the official inauguration of the Substation.

Taking to Twitter, CM Office announced the inauguration of the Insulated Substation by the BJP leader stating, “Giving a fillip to Govt’s endeavor to provide uninterrupted electricity to consumers, CM Shri @sarbanandsonwal inaugurated the 2×10 MVA, 33/11 KV Gas Insulated Substation in Dibrugarh town.”
