Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday morning has reached Guwahati to pay his tribute to former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.
The leader of the Indian National Congress (INC) landed at Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport at about 9:30 in the morning. He immediately headed went to Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakhetra where the mortal remains of the veteran leader are kept.
After paying his tributes at Kalakhetra, Rahul Gandhi also went to the official residence of Tarun Gogoi and expressed his condolence to the family of the former Assam chief minister.
The last rites of the former Assam Congress leader will be performed on November 26.
