13th June, Guwahati: Three-person succumbed to death due to Covid-19 in Assam. Two-person died in Guwahati Medical College and Hospital(GMCH) and one woman in Silchar Medical College and Hospital(SMCH).
The two persons who died in GMCH were identified as Montu Ramchiary and Azgar Rahman Laskar from Baksa district and Hojai district respectively. whereas the woman who died in SMCH was identified as Mangoli Rani Das from Hailakandi district. Till now the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 increased to nine in the State. Assam reached up to a toll of 3498 COVID cases with 1953 active cases and 9 deaths.
Covid-19 pandemic has till now taken many lives all over the world. In India, the pandemic has taken the lives of 8884 people till June 13, 2020. But there is a ray of hope as the number of cured/discharged person has surpassed the number of active cases.
