The Crime Branch, Guwahati along with Basistha Police conducted a search operation on March 4 at hotel Blue’s Guest House in the Lalmati area of the city and apprehended one Manohar Pradhan and Jenet Ramhnemkim Tulor.
The police also recovered 3 Kg of WY Tablets (World is Yours) from an almirah of the guest house. A case was registered in this regard at the Basistha Police Station.
During the interrogation of Manohar Pradhan and analysis of WhatsApp chats on his mobile, it was revealed that one Mussadique Hussain, Sub-Inspector of the Special Branch of Assam Police was involved in facilitating the illegal trafficking of drugs.
Accordingly, SI Mussadique Hussain was arrested by the Crime Branch Wednesday evening and further investigation is on.
