The second wave of COVID-19 is getting deadlier day by day. The number of COVID-19 cases in the country is on a rapid rise. And now, the deadly double mutant COVID strain has reached Assam from Maharashtra.
A person with the double mutant strain of the virus was at the Dibrugarh airport on Thursday. This was announced by Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet.
Recent samples from Dibrugarh Airport are positive for B.1.617 strain or the Indian double mutant (L452R and E484Q) strain of SARS-Cov-2.

He went on to say that the strain is very scary and people should be more cautious and alert than before.
