Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday morning distributed 4511 appointment letters at the distribution ceremony.

Teachers from various districts of Assam got appointment letters in the ceremony held at Khanapara, Guwahati.
While addressing the public at the distribution ceremony, the minister said that after becoming education minister of the state, he has signed more than one lakh teachers’ appointment letters.

The education minister further informed that more than 300 teachers under Group A got appointment letters in the first year after the formation of BJP government in Assam.
Chief Secretary of Education Department B Kalyan Chakraborty, Bijoya Choudhury, Commissioner Pritam Saikia, and other dignitaries were also present at the appointment distribution ceremony.
