Days after losing the post of the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) to the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) president Pramod Bodo, former chief Hagrama Mohilary has released the security personnel assigned to him during his tenure.
He informed the decision in a letter to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), BTC stating that he is releasing all his security personnel with effect from December 21 as he no longer remains the chief of BTC.
Hagrama Mohilary had been serving as the BTC chief for 17 years since 2003 before losing out to Pramod Bodo in the recently concluded BTC elections.
