The (IMD) Indian Meteorological Department has predicted a heavy rainfall over Assam and few other North-Eastern states that are Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura.
According to IMD the rainfall will start from April 4.
A strong southwesterly wind from the Bay of Bengal will cause the widespread rainfall. According to the prediction of IMD the rainfall will last 5 days.
There is a possibility of a cyclonic circulation. The weather agency has also warned that an upper air cyclonic circulation is likely to form over South Andaman Sea and neighborhood on 6 April.
