Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday attended the Kendriya Swahid Divas of All Koch Rajbongshi Student’s Union (AKRSU) at Golakganj in Dhubri district.
In his speech, the NEDA (North East Democratic Alliance) convener stated, “Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fulfilled its promise to set up Kamatapur Autonomous Council and just like the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), our government has taken the responsibility for the progress of Kamatapur Autonomous Council.”
The BJP leader also restated the need for unity among the Koch Rajbongshi leaders for the development of the community.
Speaking to the media before the meeting, the leader said, “the alliance between the Congress and AIUDF is eminent, earlier their alliance was secretive but now the alliance and Congress-AIUDF friendship can be comprehended by everyone.”
Speaking about the COVID vaccines, the Health Minister said that the people of Assam will get the vaccine soon. Doctors, nurses, and frontline warriors will be getting the vaccines during the first phase of the vaccination.
