State Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday laid the foundation stone of Government Model Schools at Koila Moila in Chirang and Kumarikata, Tamulpur.
The state government has allocated an amount of Rs. 14.07 crores to increase the strengthening of higher education in BTR (Bodoland Territorial Region).
Addressing to public at Chirang, the minister also stated that BJP government has allocated more than Rs. 500 crores to BTR for road construction.

The Finance Minister also laid the foundation stone of bridge to be constructed on Barama-Tamulpur road under the SOPD scheme. The project worth Rs. 30 crores will ensure protection from floods and erosion and also ensure proper connectivity.
