State Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a press conference on Monday, announced the re-opening of Primary schools in the state from January 1.
Normal classes will commence from Nursery to Sixth grade following COVID-19 protocols. The minister further mentioned that limited hostels would be opened from December 15. However, only final year students will be allowed to stay at the hostel.
Teachers will be called upon to close online classes from December 15 onwards.
During the press meet, Education Minister also stated that a detailed SOP will be issued in the Education Department soon.
It is worth mentioning that the closure of schools and colleges for Covid-19 has led to the disruption in the education of students and the provision of online classes across the country.
