One of the most wanted rhino poacher/trader Jobi Gadi has been apprehended by Assam Forest officials and Arunachal Police Department.
The accused identified as Jobi Gadi was arrested by the joint team of Biswanath Wildlife Division of Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve (KNP&TR) and Arunachal Pradesh Police Department.
He was involved in recent rhino poaching at Lokhora Chapori of the 6th addition of the National Park in April 2019. The poacher was apprehended from Naharlagun area. He was also involved in several rhino poaching incidents in KNP&TR area since 2011.
Biswanath District local court has issued a non-bailable warrant against the notorious rhino poacher.
Biswanath Civil & Police Administration, Rahul Dutta of IRF played an important role in the arrest of the infamous poacher.
It is to be noted that poachers have killed 31 one-horned rhinos in Kaziranga National Park since 2016.
