Inter-District Movement Allowed In Assam On July 30 And July 31

News Desk: On July 22, the Chief Secretary of Assam, Kumar Sanjay Krishna issued a new order which allows the Inter-District movement of citizens on July 30 and July 31.

However, the notice also stated that the permission for inter-district movement is not for those residing in containment zones.

The new order issued by Kumar Sanjay Krishna on July 22 stated,

“In continuation of the order No. ASDMA.24/2020/Part-1/93 dated 18th July 2020:

Interdistrict movement of citizens is allowed on 30th and 31st July 2020 in the State of Assam subject to the strict compliances of COVID-19 regulations as detailed in the various guidelines of Govt. of Assam.

The above permission is allowed except in containment Zones after following social distancing protocols.”

The permission was granted on Wednesday and all the traveling citizens will have to follow the COVID-19 rules and regulations issued on July 18.

Earlier on July 18, an order was issued by the Chief Secretary which strictly barred all inter-district movement from July 22. In that order, only medical and other important emergencies were allowed.
