Assam: As part of Jana Jagaran awareness campaign, NHM Assam in collaboration with renowned Mime artist Minangka Deka & team conducted an awareness drive on Covid19 Appropriate Behaviour at the crowded Paltan Bazaar area today. Leaflets were distributed and people were made aware of the proper use of Mask, the importance of Social Distancing, and the use of hygienic practices.
The programme was flagged off by Shri. Ranjit Kumar Lahon, Chief Personal Officer, ASTC at the ASTC Complex. Friends from the media house were also present in the flag off.
“Jana Jagaran” a unique awareness campaign by the Health Department and NHM, Assam was launched in all the districts of the State on 23 Sept 2020, with the aim to create mass awareness on:
– COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviours (importance of wearing mask, social distancing, and hygiene) and,
– Going for COVID-19 test.
As part of this campaign, all the districts took out a rally of Health Workers flagged off by District Administration to create awareness among the public. Various activities like a door to door visits by ASHAs, distribution of leaflets, miking in all the blocks, and various other activities are ongoing in the districts.
