The ex-Central Assistant General Secretary of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) Munawar Hussain on Tuesday alleged that members of AASU are running ‘Mafiaraj’ within the party.
The Student Union AGS stated that Lurinjyoti Gogoi and Dipankar Nath, both top leaders of AASU are gradually becoming ‘dictators’ and running a Mafiaraj council within the Student Union party.
This explosive statement of Hussain came after he gave his resignation letter to the party President.
In his resignation letter, the party leader stated, “from the day Lurinjyoti Gogoi and Dipankar Kumar Nath was appointed as the General Secretary and Party President respectively, the AASU party saw its downfall. Both of them are running a party based on dictatorship agenda, curbing the democratic system of AASU.”
“They are now running the party based on Mafiaraj agenda”, Munawar Hussain further stated.
It is to be noted that Munawar Hussain was a member of AASU for more than 23 years and his resignation has raised various queries in the minds of people.
