Lurinjyoti Gogoi Formally Retires from AASU, Will Be Joining AJP

Former All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) General Secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi will be ceremonially given adieu.

The farewell ceremony will be held at Guwahati University (G.U). The former AASU leader will formally join the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) party on December 16 at the party general convention to be held in Sivasagar.

Earlier on November 21, Lurinjyoti Gogoi announced his retirement from the post of General Secretary of the Students’ body during the 17th General Convention of AASU in Duliajan, Assam. Executive member of the Students’ body, Sankar Jyoti Baruah has now taken over the charge as the new General Secretary of AASU.
