As per the directive issued by the Transport Department of Government of Assam a few days ago, Gautam Das and Rafiqul Islam have been appointed as high officials at Kamrup (M) District Transport Office (DTO) situated at Betkuchi, Guwahati.
Gautam Das takes over the charge from Gunadhar Das as the Principal of the School of Registration & Licensing and Training School.
Rafiqul Islam takes over the charge from Bapon Kalita as the Secretary of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA).
Earlier, Gautam Das was the District Transport Officer & Secretary, R.T.A Kamrup (Rural) situated at Amingaon, Assam. Rafiqul Islam was Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) in the office of District Transport Officer & Secretary, RTA, Dhubri with an additional charge of MVI in the DTO office, South Salmara.
The handing over of charges to both the officials was done at the DTO office in the presence of District Transport Officers, Vehicle Inspectors, and other staff members.
