The Governor of Assam in a notification in the interest of public service on Tuesday ordered the transfer of two IAS level officers.
1989-batch IAS officer Paban Kumar Borthakur, Chairman, Assam Administrative Tribunal, and Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Transformation & Development, Cultural Affairs, and Irrigation Departments has been posted as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Whereas, 1989-batch IAS officer Maninder Singh, Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Guwahati Development Department and Chief Resident Commissioner, Assam Bhavan, New Delhi has been transferred and posted as Chairman, Administrative Tribunal of Assam.
Singh is also allowed to continue as the Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Assam, Guwahati Development Department, and Chief Resident Commissioner, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi as an additional charge.
