A massive fire broke out at the Emami factory in the Pacharia area (Hajo) of the Kamrup (Rural) district on Thursday evening, covering the whole factory area.
Black smoke engulfed the whole Pacharia area. It took more than one hour and five fire brigade trucks to douse the massive inferno. According to firefighters, the cause of the inferno was due to a short-circuit. It has been evaluated that the fire started at the cosmetic floor area of the factory.
