COVID-19 pandemic created a dreaded situation among the human civilization across the globe and people were unsure of the circumstance, as a result were comfortable staying at home. However, doctors of Narayan Health understand the value of life and give priority to saving lives of people. In the month of November 2020, a total number of 11 patients were diagnosed with serious cardiac ailments hailing from various corners of Assam. The situation with these cases were such that they needed immediate attention and intervention through the expert hands of senior Cardiac surgeons. We have taken all precautions and safety measures to land our team of Cardiac surgeons in Guwahati to save the lives of the patients. Team led by Dr. Lalit Kapoor included Dr. Devraj and Sr. Nursing Head Sister Farida, who carried out 11 surgeries in 2 sittings. The patient were easily extubated and showed signs of positive recovery soon after the surgeries.
On this day, 20th December 2020: Dr. Lalit Kapoor, Sr. Consultant Heart Transplant and Cardiac surgeon said “I am so overwhelmed and happy to be in Guwahati, whereby 11 cases have undergone critical cardiac surgeries and have shown positive results. The patient were of different age groups (Middle & Senior age). It was a challenge to reach Guwahati in this pandemic situation. However, the requirement of saving the lives of so many patients is so encouraging, one must do what is required at this juncture. I was really happy to see the recovery rates of 11 cases that we operated on.”
