There have been various reports circulating over the media that a female trainee cop was purportedly raped by a high-level official in Dergaon’s Police training centre.
However, speaking exclusively to Headline 8, Debashis Sarmah, Principal, Police Training Centre, Dergaon, informed that the incident did not take place in the police training centre but it’s an episode which occurred in some Army training centre.
According to the report published on various media channels, the victim is a trainee female police officer of the 1st Assam Forest Battalion.
The report said that the occurrence came to light after her husband notified the media about the wrongdoing saying that CID Inspection official Bachchan Singh had purportedly raped his wife during the training session.
