The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate four other pairs of Special trains to handle the demands of commuters from the region.
One bi-weekly AC Special train will start between Dibrugarh- New Delhi- Dibrugarh (via Bogibeel) from October 12 including another AC Special train will start from Dibrugarh- New Delhi- Dibrugarh from October 15.
There will be another train running from Kamakhya– Yesvantpur-Kamakhya from October 14. Another weekly AC Special train will run between Kamakhya- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus- Kamakhya from October 15.
Passengers from Northeast can avail the services to various parts of the country with the introduction of the new Special trains. However, there will be no unreserved coaches in any of these trains and passengers will have to download Aarogya Setu App. They will have to observe strict social distancing both at stations and during journey. Wearing of face masks during entry and travel is mandatory and only asymptomatic passengers with confirmed tickets will be allowed to enter the Railway stations and board the train.
The 02505 Dibrugarh- New Delhi- Dibrugarh train will depart from Dibrugarh at 10 pm every Monday and Friday.
02503 Dibrugarh- New Delhi- Dibrugarh train will leave Dibrugarh at 7:50 pm every Thursday.
The Kamakhya- Yesvantpur- Kamakhya Special train (02552) will depart from Kamakhya every Wednesday at 2 pm.
The 02520 Kamakhya- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus- Kamakhya Special train will leave Kamakhya every Thursday at 9 pm. It has been informed that all the 4 Special trains will have First class AC, 2nd AC and 3rd AC coaches.
Presently, total of 14 pairs of special trains are in operation in the NFR zone.
