NGO DARPAN Honors Warhorses of Social Work at Award Ceremony

DARPAN Award Ceremony

Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) DARPAN on Thursday organized an award ceremony in an effort to acknowledge the warhorses of the social work who have contributed to the welfare of the society.

The award ceremony was held at Shilpgram, Guwahati on December 17. DARPAN is a voluntary organization working for the betterment of people since 1983.
For the year 2020-21, the DARPAN award ceremony consisted of three categories namely, COVID-19 Warrior, Outstanding Contribution to Social Work, and a Lifetime Achievement Award.

The awardees for the COVID-19 Warrior award were-

• Dipankar Barman
• Dhiraj Singha
• Sajen Langthasa
• Dr. Kumar Pinku Pratim
• Darendra Singha
• Bharghav Basumatary
• Dikshit Sharma

Philanthropist & Social Entrepreneur, Amit Singha, Deputy Director of Welfare of Plain Tribes & Backward Classes (WPT&BC), Jadav Pegu, and News18 Assam Executive Editor, Niloy Bhattacharjee were among the dignitaries present as guests at the award ceremony.
